Pinbot
Background
Pinbot is one of the two pinball machines which reintroduced me to pinball as an adult. The JoCo Cruise of 2023 had a Pinbot and a Goldeneye just outside the main stage entrance. I would go there any time I had a few minutes of free time to get a game in. It took another year before we bought our first machine, but this one is where it all started.
It’s only fitting that we purchased this machine on a road trip down the west coast to board another JoCo Cruise! This machine has been camping in several states and seen most of the California and Oregon coastline.
Pinbot is often credited with popularizing the large moving playfield mech. Featured right in the middle of the playfield is a visor that opens after bashing it several times. Once open, lock two balls to start a multiball. But be careful, if you lock a ball and then drain, another player can steal your locked ball!
